Here are some information you may find helpful if you wish
to see the zoo for yourself and meet the peculiar animals we have come to adore.
Emirates Park Zoo is located at Al Bahia, north-east of Abu Dhabi city, 35km away from the capital on the way to Dubai. [VA]
It is quite far from the city center so I would recommend taking your own car or renting one. Taxi maybe around AED50+ if the first one is not possible. Should you insist to take the bus, lane numbers are 202,218 and 225. [DOT]
Entrance fee is AED30 per person for ages 2 years old and above. Kids below 2 years may enter for free.
Note that there is a separate fee for access to shows and entertainment.
It is open from Sunday to Wednesday 9am – 8pm. [VA]
I would recommend going there from 2PM during wintertime so you have ample time to walk around, feed animals, enjoy the scenery and take photos where natural lighting is still good. Come 4PM, most of the shows start so you can now sit back and relax after touring the place. It took us almost two hours to wander from one cage to another.
Despite having visited on a Sunday (a working day), the place was still plenty of visitors and noticeably and expectedly families with toddlers. Parking, restaurants, cafes and clinic are also available nearby. There is also a hotel if you fancy to spend the time with the animals in view.
Female toilet is inside the Aquarium while male toilet is inside the Reptile House.
That’s about it! We hope you enjoy your visit! ♥♥♥
